Thank You from the Parents Association

February 23, 2024

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s),

The Parents Association would like to thank everyone who has supported our recent fundraisers.  A big thanks to the 238 people who signed up to our monthly DRAW which is our main source of income each year.

A new fundraiser this year was selling a gorgeous wall calendar showcasing photographs taken by students in MCS.  Thanks to all the local businesses who sponsored this calendar and to everyone in the community who bought one.

All the money the PA raises is used to improve facilities in the school.  Last year some of our projects were buying new picnic tables for the school grounds, installing new water fountains in the canteen and the courtyard and paying for the building work needed to create a sensory room for students with additional educational needs.

This year we will pay for the specialist equipment needed to furnish and kit out this sensory room so that it will be ready for students to use.

We are also currently co funding the retention of a school Psychotherapist, from after the midterm to the Easter break. As the source of funding ran out at midterm, this extension facilitated by the PA will allow Deirdre to continue her work with students currently attending her and wind down these sessions in an appropriate manner.

So, thank you once again for your support.  Our next main fundraiser will be our Plant Sale on May 10th – 12th. Save the date!
