Well done to our 1st year ‘A’ girls Basketball team who travelled to Limerick this weekend to compete in the All-Ireland league playoffs. The girls had a very early start Saturday morning and were unlucky to lose their first game in double overtime by two points. However, the girls bounced back and had a great win in their second group game. This win put the girls into the plate quarter final on Sunday morning. The team won both the quarter-final and semi-final but unfortunately lost out on the final to a very strong team.
The girls had a great weekend full of basketball and even got to sneak in a game of bowling and mini golf!
Well done to the team on all their successes this year, and huge thanks to their coaches Mr Ingle and Christian McDonnell. We would also like to say a special thank you to past MCS student Ellie Doyle for coming down to help supervise the girls.
