This morning Malahide Community School welcomed two Ministers to visit the campus.
Minister for Education, Norma Foley and one of our local TD’s (and former student) Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien spoke with members from our Student Council, Wellbeing Committee and also answered questions from 6th Year Politics and Society students.
Also visiting was Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee.
Minister Foley presented the Amber Flag to students from the Wellbeing Committee. The school has been awarded the Amber Flag to mark our continued efforts to create healthy, inclusive environments that support mental well-being for the entire school community.
Minister Foley and Minister O’Brien met with students and staff and were told about a number of initiatives which are ongoing in the school. Both Ministers were particularly impressed by how articulate, polite and well informed our students were.
As always, our students are our best ambassadors and we were really proud of them all for their exemplary behaviour and engagement this morning.
A more formal collage of pictures taken will be shared soon but attached a few casual photos of the morning.
