Fingal Co. Council Gaeltacht Scholarships/Closing Date Sun. 5th Feb. 2026

Dear Parent(s), Guardian(s) and Students,

We hope this message finds you well and we wish you every Health and Happiness in 2026.

Our Roinn na Gaeilge have asked us to share this information with you regarding Gaeltact Scholarships.

Gaeltacht Scholarship Scheme 2026

Fingal County Council is delighted to offer Partial Scholarships of €500 to Fingal Second Level students who are attending residential Gaeltacht Irish Language Courses in 2026.   

Conditions:

• Students must be resident in Fingal or attending school in Fingal.
• One application only per student – if applying for 2 students, example siblings, complete 2 applications.
• Applications are accepted for students of any level of Irish provided they are attending a Gaeltacht Course in 2026.
• The Scholarship will be paid to the parent or guardian of the student and successful applicants will need to provide evidence of confirmed booking/payment to the Gaeltacht College.

The closing date for applications is 10pm Sunday February 15, 2026.

Scéim Scoláireachtaí Gaeltachta Chomhairle Contae Fhine Gall 2026

Tá fíoráthas ar Chomhairle Contae Fhine Gall Páirtscoláireachtaí de €500 a thairisicnt do dhaltaí Dara Leibhéal Fhine Gall a bheidh ag freastal ar chúrsaí Gaeilge sa Ghaeltacht i 2026.   

Coinníollacha:

• Caithfidh daltaí a bheith ina gcónaí i bhFine Gall nó ag freastal ar scoil i bhFine Gall.
• Iarratas amháin in aghaidh an dalta – má tá iarratas á dhéanamh i leith 2 dhalta, siblíní mar shampla, comhlánaigh 2 iarratas.
• Glacfar le hiarratais ó dhaltaí a bhfuil leibhéal ar bith Gaeilge acu a fhad is go mbeidh siad ag freastal ar Chúrsa Gaeltachta i 2026.
• Íocfar an Scoláireacht le tuismitheoir nó le caomhnóir an dalta agus beidh ar iarrthóirí rathúla fianaise ar áirithint/íocaíocht a sholáthar don Choláiste Gaeltachta.
