Award winning TY Musical (Bring It On!)

May 21, 2025

Our 2025 TY Show (Bring It On!) was entered into a competition for schools run by the Association of Irish Musical Societies. There are over 50 participating schools countrywide in the competition.

“Bring It On” was adjudicated by an experienced adjudicator and got a great report. National Awards are being given out in various categories and the nominations for each category were announced last week.

MCS received nominations in 4 categories!!!

Best performance in a supporting role (Amelie Law); Best Choreography (Jean Gill); Best Musical Direction (Ms. Keogh) AND Best Overall Show.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we won the award for Best Musical Direction.

It was a massive achievement to have received so many nominations and the award for Musical Direction is a great reflection of the hard work and dedication that Aoife Keogh brings to the TY Musical each year. She has said that the award is for the full cast and production team and everyone involved is delighted.

Well done to all the TY’s in the show, on stage and backstage, to Ms. Keogh, Ms. McNulty, Mr. Flynn, Ms. O’Riordan and Jean Gill.

We’re already looking forward to next years show!!!
