Food Collection for Homeless People

November 6, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians,

A group of Transition Year students are collecting food this week for the soup kitchen “Friends helping Friends.” Every Tuesday and Saturday, “Friends helping Friends” set up a stand across from Trinity College. They serve hot meals and drinks to the poorest people in Dublin. Any food we collect will be used to make these meals.

The 4th Years are asking students and parents to donate non-perishable food. If everyone brought in one item each, we could donate over 1,200 pieces of food from the school. This includes items such as pasta, teabags, tinned foods, biscuits, crisps, and sauces etc. We will be accepting donations all week. All donations can be dropped into Ms. Timlin in Room 224. Many thanks for your support.
