Movie Day / Wed. 22nd Dec. / Cliona’s Foundation

December 18, 2023

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s) and Students,

A very special ‘Thank you’ for all of your support this Christmas with our various fundraising activities.

Your support has been amazing and we really appreciate your assistance with each of these worthy causes.

Please could we ask your support for one more special initiative?

‘Cliona’s Foundation’ is an organisation that provides financial assistance directly to parents of children with life-limiting or chronic complex care needs, across Ireland, to help with the non-medical expenses related to caring for their child.

Six of our TY students have volunteered to complete part of the Camino Walk this summer in Spain, to raise much needed funds for ‘Cliona’s Foundation’.

They each need to raise approx. €2,000.00 to cover the cost of this fundraising walk.

To help them, the Principal, David Hayes, has offered to allow them to hold a Movie Day for all First and Second Year students this Wednesday.

We are extremely grateful to the Parents’ Association who have kindly agreed to donate the Goodies for the Movie Tuck Shop.

Students are asked to have cash with them on Wednesday, if they wish to purchase from the Tuck Shop, becasue it will be a Cash Only Tuck Shop.

It should be a lovely festive occasion, and a great way to raise some much needed funds for ‘Cliona’s Foundation’.

A facility to pay a minimum of €1.00 to support this initiative will be shared with you shortly on the App and we would be very grateful for any contribution you might be in a position to make, no matter how small.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your Loved Ones a very Happy, Peaceful Christmas, and a Safe and Healthy New Year in 2024, and to thank you for your continued support during the year.

KInd regards,

MCS.
