Road Closure

Dear Parent / Guardian,
Irish Water have informed us that a temporary road closure is required from along the Hill (R124) from the junction of Back Road to Chapel Road to facilitate installation of a watermain. The map attached below shows the diversions that will be in place.

The road closure extends from 08:00 on Monday 19 April 2021 to 20:00 on Saturday 01 May 2021. The alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as summarised below:

Phase 01 & 02 – R124 / The Hill between Back Road and Chapel Road at Malahide – 19 April 2021 – 01 May 2021.
Northbound traffic diverted at the junction of Chapel Road and the R124. Traffic will be diverted via Chapel Road, R107 / Malahide Road and Back Road.
Southbound traffic diverted at the junction of Back Road and the R124. Traffic will be diverted via Back Road, R107 / Malahide Road and Chapel Road.
Local access will be maintained at all times.
Local access to Seamount Road will be maintained from the north only during Phase 01 works from 08:00 on Monday 19 April 2021 to 08:00 on Monday 26 April 2021.
Local access to Seamount Road will be maintained from the south only during Phase 02 works from 08:00 on Monday 26 April 2021 to 20:00 on Saturday 01 May 2021.

This is likely to cause significant delays to both morning and afternoon traffic on the various diversions, so please plan your route to school carefully during the various phases of the road works.
